The Upside to an Hermés Box Leather Handbag

The Upside to an Hermés Box Leather Handbag

They say that the first cut is the deepest, and apparently it’s the same with a Hermes Box leather bag and its first scratch. Eventually you grow to love the scratches that occur on your box leather, as they all grow into your Hermes bag’s unique DNA. As a result of its firm yet delicate structure, it will also age incredibly well. If you are not convinced, just remember a box calf leather can be refurbished beautifully at the Hermes spa, but trust me you will come to love the scratches, just not the very first one!

Which Hermés Orange Are You?

Which Hermés Orange Are You?

I think it could be forgiven for thinking that Hermés has a thing about the colour orange. We all know that the Hermés colour palette is vast, but there are just a few colours that seem to have a colour spectrum of their own, and one of these hues is definitely orange. The choice from this particular rainbow include Hermés orange, brique, fue, sanguine, and the latest addition Cappucine. As well as this, the box that these wonderful Birkin and Kelly bags arrive in are orange. Let us also not forget that their dust bags were once a signature you know what……orange. One has to wonder if it is possible to find anymore orange to add to this colour collection. However somehow I think Hermés might just make it possible.

What’s In The Name Capucine?

What’s In The Name Capucine?

This summer sees Hermés adding another orange to its vast colour collection. But what interested me the most with this particular new Birkin handbag, was it name – Capucine. In researching the meaning of Capucine, the reason for the name of this new hue became crystal clear. Capucine, is the french for the flower Nasturtium. A gorgeous, vibrant peppery, tangy orange colour. Perfect really!

Feeling Blue? Make It A Blue Paon Birkin

Feeling Blue? Make It A Blue Paon Birkin

As a personal shopper, I have always found that Hérmes put new meaning to the phrase ‘feeling blue’. Their blue handbags have always been a huge success, and now they there is a new blue to choose from in their ever-expanding collection. The Blue Paon is this summer’s addition to the Hérmes blue series. With the likes of its older sibling the Blue Jean to look up to, the Bleu Paon has some big shoes to fill, but I am sure it will shine this summer season.

The Hérmes So Kelly Flash

The Hérmes So Kelly Flash

The candy coloured Birkins have been a huge hit for Hermés and so it is only natural that they would build on this concept and incorporate it in their other successful designs. Take this Hermés So Kelly Flash, the electric rubis colour lines the inside of the bag, no doubt increasing its popularity and covet-ability. However as the Hermés So Kelly Flash has a contrasting lining , but also the unique characteristic of the two tone being applied to the stitching, under the straps and handles, it makes it a perfect candidate for the use of these ever-so-popular bright pop colours. No wonder it is called The So Kelly...
